If you haven't checked out the Glamour Expo - Where have you been? Yes, most of the booths are for women, but I did spy a couple of great booths for guys only! Knucklehead's Tattoos & More & The Other Side

I've been wanting to write about Knucklehead's for a while because they often have hunts. Inside the main Knucklehead building you can find five lucky chairs dispensing a variety of poofers and small ornamental objects with waits between 3 minutes to 15 minutes you're sure to get lucky. You can also find a prize pyramid in the main shop. The Knucklehead's Tattoo shop houses two lucky chairs with short waits (10 minutes or under) and if you join the Knucklead's Tattoos group you'll enjoy special pricing on tats! Help Island Public 2

If you've been out of the loop there's a new Help Island Public on the Block. Help Island Public2 which at the moment doesn't seem to be included in the Library landmarks folder. So if you'd like to visit help island public in a less laggy & less populated environment you may want to check out Help Island Public2. You'll find the same tutorials, free store, textures, sandbox, and other amentities available at other Help Islands here too.



According to the following article: "sandboxes are open to the public". Just like in a school yard sandboxes are prone to a bit of bullying & griefing. If you are being harassed in the sandbox and you are complying with the rules (no nudity, no weapons, following the tos & community standards) then you should proceed by filing an abuse report (harassment). You might try im-ing the person before filing an Abuse Report (AR), but if this will cause further grief file an AR. This article takes you through the steps on how to file an abuse report. Unfortunately if the abuse is taking place over voice it is un-recordable/not includable in an AR at the moment. To combat voice abuse simply go to edit on the top menu> prefrences (last choice in edit menu)> voice chat tab (8th tab)> and uncheck the enable voice chat box. This will disable chat. (*If someone knows how to include voice recording in an abuse report PLEASE COMMENT*.)


(Help Island Public2 sandbox - This sandbox was nearly empty. So if you're looking to brush up on your beginning tutorials on how to make and edit prims this sandbox is waiting.)

Help Island Public and Help Island Public2 are available to all residents and public. If you have a problem you'll need to file an abuse report to remedy any harassment taking place there. You might also benefit from muting the resident in question (the instructions for muting a resident are included in the how to file an abuse report link). You should NOT retaliate against the offender; file an AR. Much of Help Island Public(2) allows building so if your project is small you could possibly move until the situation is resolved. You can read more about Help Island here and I hope the information provided in the link clears up any confusion as to if parts of the Help Island Public are privately owned and how to handle abuse.


If all else fails there are also several other sandboxes available. You may find both public and private sandboxes by using the search button on the bottom menu bar of your browser. Searching on either the All tab or Places tab would yield the best results. NCI is an excellent resource for both new and old citizens alike who like to build and NCI has many locations.


You can also use the search options to search almost any interest you may have and you'll likely find an area to visit or groups that share common interest. Good luck & hope this helps on your journey!

Lawson Station is a freebie area where you will find a mixture of well circulated freebie standards like textures, furniture, particle systems, flight feather, & face (emotion) huds. You'll also find a couple of original freebies, some available at the stores offering them here for free and others are exclusive to this area. So you may want to swing by Lawson Station and take a brief look around. The store is not packed so it shouldn't take long to browse the area. On Walker Island sim where Lawson Station is located you'll find a small shopping district on the south west corner of the sim. Most stores have put out a freebie in store, but you'll want to pay particular attention to a couple of spots.

Since you'll probably spot MODE in the corner of this sim, I'll write a bit about it. If you like exploring you'll also want to take a look at MODE which is an area that displays pictures of outfits, information on the outfits, & in front of each picture of the outfit you'll find slurls for each piece in the outfit. Some of these slurls are outdated, but a number of them did yield at least one freebie while others were a complete bust. Although you may not find the exact freebie pictured at Mode you'll find a lot of interesting areas to explore. So this might be something to do when you're bored and in search of some freebies or when you're in the mood for shopping since most of the items that did cost were still available at the slurls displayed. So Many Goodies

So, I was wandering around Yamagata Japan and stumbled across a couple of outfits. The female outfit includes a skin; there's also an outfit for the guys. You can find a hat next to the two outfits. While not particularly fashion forward, the outfits are bright, cheery, & do have nice shading on the skirts. These definitely would be useful for a club event or the upcoming Halloween season. Soldering Wire, Check

I got sort of torqued after waiting all day to see if I could bring my lappy to a local computer dr. that I decided to take matters in to my own hands. I figured it was a lost cause & it was confooked beyond repair. So what harm could I do? I'm happy to say... \o/ Yay! I iz does solder and have hopefully fixed my laptop. I'm amazed that I took it apart and put it back together (nevermind it took 4 hours). And it works, lol. Actually, I'm stunned. And did I mention it works? Even my bf is beyond impressed at my skill*z*. (ssshhh, I didn't tell him I took apart my parents' washer when I was 11 & fixed it with the assisstance of my 6 yr old brother. \o/ Yay for polariods to remember where all the pieces went too!)

You can pick up the cutest cartoony unisex panda skin at Free Style. This skin is an excelent pick for hunts!!! Since there are no naughty bits you can fly around sans clothes and be totally adorable. You'll find the skin in a bill ($) stuck in a manaquin head. I was lucky enough to receive several freebies from Huxly Hudson & Leila Dix of Sin & Secrets to preview for you guys. Besides the dress shown below they also have a super sexy lingerie set that will get your lover purring, a unisex logowear tshirt, and a lovely $1 skin for girls. This store is bursting with come hither clothing so I decided to show it in a somewhat different light and go kawaii cute with the dress I'm showcasing to show that there is a bit of versatility to the sexy goods. Guys can find a ton of hair on the cheap from afro-friendly braids to punker mohawks on the $1 wall in the men's hair shop. This is also one of the few stores that makes hair for furrie avatars. The purse is from a cute little Japanese store Noko which has a ton of art inspired furniture & clothing. You'll want to roam around the store and take your time browsing because some freebies are mixed in with the other items especially in the furniture section. OUCH!

Yep, it appears that my laptop finally coughed up it's last hair ball. It's packed up and going off to a local dr. as soon as I get a call back. I'm suspecting that it's dead, dead, dead, though. So I'll be on the still alive, but even more craptaculous mac lappy with no way to take pics for a while.
